How to Connect your Google Calendar

Connecting your Google Calendar to Jam lets you see all your events alongside your family’s schedule. You can choose to Import or Sync your Google Calendar — here’s how.

Import vs. Sync

  • Import: Brings events into Jam as editable copies. You can change times, assign family members, and add To Dos. Events won’t auto-update from Google.
  • Sync: Creates a live, read-only connection. Events update automatically in Jam when you make changes in Google Calendar, but you can’t edit them inside Jam.

For a full comparison, see How to Connect your External Calendars to Jam.

Tip: If you want Jam to be your family’s main calendar hub, Import is usually the best choice.

Steps to Connect

  1. Open the Jam app.
  2. Tap your Profile Icon (top right).
  3. Select Manage Account.
  4. Tap Calendars.

  5. Select Google Calendar.
  6. Sign in to your Google account and authorize Jam.

  7. Choose whether to Import or Sync.
  8. Select which Google calendars you’d like to bring into Jam.

Good to Know

  • Synced Google Calendar events update in Jam approximately once every hour.
  • Synced events are read-only — edits must be made in Google Calendar.
  • Imported events are fully editable and can be assigned to any family member.
  • You can connect multiple Google accounts if different family members use different Google calendars.
