How to use Jam with Caregivers
Does it cost extra to invite a Caregiver to our Jam?
No, Caregiver Access is included in your membership.
Can I adjust which calendars and lists our Caregiver can see and use?
Yes! When you invite a Caregiver to the family, you can select which family members are under their care and they will have access only to those calendars. You can also invite Caregivers to have access to specific To Do and Shopping Lists that you would like the to see and use. You can also adjust this and/or revoke access at any time.
How do I invite a Caregiver?
- Click on My Profile/Manage My Account
- Click on Manage my Family.
- Select the family member you would like to invite as a Caregiver or click Add Family Member if they have not been added to the family yet.
- Make sure you select Caregiver as their Member type and add an email address for them.
- Select which family members are under their care - these are the calendars they will have access to. (Only select the calendars you would like them to be able to see and edit).
- They will receive an invite via email — as soon as they click the link they can sign in to Jam and join your family.
I sent my caregiver an invite, now what should they do?
Once your caregiver receives the invite link from you, they can click that link and will be directed to sign into Jam. Once they enter their email address into Jam, they will automatically be linked to your account.
Or, they can also download Jam onto their device from the App Store or Google Play store. When they sign in using the email address you invited them with, they will automatically be linked to your account and can begin interacting with Jam.
(You can revoke access at any time).
Can a Caregiver belong in multiple Jam families?
Each email address can only be associated with one Jam Family.
